About us · Derbarê me de
Ji Kurdan,
ji bo Kurdan.
By Kurds, for Kurds. And for everyone who wants to get to know our places.

The name
Kevir means stone.
In Kurmanji, kevir means stone. That is exactly what we are about: we rebuild the places that carry us, brick by brick.
The stadium in Amed, where a whole city sings along. The holy valley of Lalish with its bright spires. Citadels, bridges, bazaars. Places you won't find on any toy shelf. Until now.
Why
Home you can touch.
Many of us grew up far away from Kurdistan. In Hamburg, Cologne, Berlin, Vienna or Stockholm.
Our children often know Amed, Hewlêr or Mêrdîn only from stories, photos and videos. We wanted something you can hold in your hands. Something you build together: at the kitchen table, with parents, with grandparents telling you what it was like there.
That's why a Kevir set is more than a toy. It is an evening full of stories and then a piece of home on the shelf.
What matters to us
Three bricks Kevir stands on.
Respect for the places
Stadium or sanctuary: we rebuild every place with care and explain in every instruction booklet what makes it special.
Our language, visible
Place names in Kurdish spelling and instructions in German, Kurmanji and Sorani. So that Kurdish has its place in the children's room too.
For every generation
For children hearing about Amed for the first time. For parents who want to tell stories. For grandparents who remember.
Kevir bi kevir
Welatê te, kevir bi kevir.
Your home, brick by brick.
